VOMITO NEGRO: “Shock” (LP KK Records, Belgium import)

With their debut LP, the Belgian duo Vomito Negro aims to shock. However, as a fan of Electronic Body Music (EBM), I’m quite used to edgy material, so titles like “No Hope No Fear” (120 BPM), “Erection” (120 BPM), and “Baby Needs Crack” (110 BPM) no longer surprise me. Their music is intense and dark, definitely not suited for the average dance floor. But it’s likely to be a hit in more niche scenes, particularly in places like Leiden, where this style has a strong following.
