Here it is at last, the lead single from LL Cool J’s upcoming album. If you didn’t know it was LL, you might overlook it among all the new releases; it sounds a bit ordinary, so critics might pan it. Built around a riff borrowed from Prince’s “Beautiful Night,” we’ve only heard a cassette with the single mix, so we’re holding off on a final judgment until we hear more.
