In the May issue, I already suspected that “it” had been forgotten in the States. However, nothing could be further from the truth. What killers those Yanks have been dropping on me lately, giving me goosebumps. Artists like Donna Allen or Cherrelle are bursting forth on their latest productions. Additionally, there are some notable newcomers, such as Tomi Jenkins (Cameo) and Lynch (Roger Troutman). To complete the picture, there’s also a piece from the stable of R&B producer number one, Teddy Riley. This one features Al B Sure, who pulled out all the stops for his latest 12″, Slick Rick.
