BABY FORD: “Children Of The Revolution” 120 BPM (12″ Rhythm King, Boudisque).
Baby Ford stands out as one of the most versatile musicians in the English house scene. Last year, he surprised both friends and foes with the excellent double 12″ “Fordtrax,” predominantly featuring dreamy techno-house.
This time around, he blends house with synth-pop melodies (reminiscent of Anne Clark?). The vocals are so catchy that you’ll find yourself humming along in no time. On the flip side, you’ll find the atmospheric “Hi Mr. Logan,” dominated by the pan flute. The record wraps up with the euro mix of “Children Of The Revolution.” While this maxi may not always be dancefloor-friendly, it’s undeniably beautiful!
