This is yet another one of those numerous Belgian studio productions. A.Z.A.P. stands for As Zaire As Possible. Zaire, of course, is the former Belgian colony now known as Congo. The music on this 12-inch leans somewhat toward the new beat style. What stands out here are the French-language samples from Mugabe or Mobutu, which are particularly original and amusing. It’s a refreshing change from the usual Martin Luther King or Kennedy samples. In short, a fun dance track that adds some much-needed variety.
