From the well-known brand Rodec, there are 2 brand-new mixers, with the larger one being the MX-18. It features 5 inputs organized as follows: 4 combined microphone/stereo line inputs, each with a selector switch for choosing between 4 sources, gain control, a 3-band equalizer, a PFL, a balance control, a mute, and a 100mm Alps fader (P&G optional).

Each input has its own recording output and a fader start connection. In total, you can connect 4 microphones (balanced XLRs), 4 stereo turntables, and 8 other line signals. The DJ microphone input has connections for a balanced and an unbalanced microphone, a 3-band equalizer, a PFL, and a balance control. There is also an insertion point for connecting effect devices. The master outputs also have an insertion point for connecting limiters, equalizers, etc., with 2 connections. Additionally, there is a Mute relay on the output to eliminate switching clicks. Two large LED meters indicate the signal level. The mixer is designed in a triangular shape, allowing for freestanding use, and its width is 197 mm for easy rack mounting.

The MX-7 is a simplified version of the MX-18 at a lower price but with the same appearance.

Rodec MX-18 €2198, MX-7 €898 at Penhold, 020-114957.
