Technics ST-G70 and ST-G90 FM/AM Tuners

The latest technologies for optimal reception, even in ‘busy’ frequency bands, are utilized to ensure the best reception quality under challenging conditions. The IF (Intermediate Frequency) section employs computer-controlled automatic bandwidth selection:

  • Normal Bandwidth: 55 dB ± 400 kHz

  • Narrow Bandwidth: 30 dB ± 200 kHz (engaged when interference within 300 kHz is detected)

This technique is also applied in the RF (Radio Frequency) section. Interference between different transmitters can occur in crowded broadcasting bands. When the RF filter is set to ‘narrow,’ selectivity improves, resulting in better reception quality. The tuners automatically manage this switch.

The tuners feature the Double Quartz tuning system for enhanced channel separation, reduced distortion, and a smoother sound profile. Additional features include:

  • 39 preset stations

  • Class AA electronics

  • Bandwidth indication

  • Automatic tuning

  • Signal strength indication

  • +25 kHz FM switch

  • Expanded FL display

The ST-G90 offers superior specifications, including a signal-to-noise ratio of 80 dB (mono) or 86 dB/IHF, and an additional quartz signal generator for adjusting the correct recording level on a cassette deck.

Prices:

  • ST-G70: NLG 1052

  • ST-G90: NLG 1368
