It seemed for a moment that Dave Rodgers might become a permanent composer for Asia, but both parties sought more independence. Despite this brief collaboration, Asia retained an interest in his sound, resulting in the Aleph-like “Power of Magic.” It’s a good record that’s selling well and is one of the best releases in recent times.
